A program to develop leadership in the youths organized for higher secondary students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas.


Velga Velgavey Held at Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College, Madurai (22nd to 26th January 2011)

The shibir was inaugurated on 22nd January by Swami Kamalatmanandaji, President, Ramakrishna Math, Madurai. Susri Nivedita Bhide, Vice President, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dr R Dinakaran, Chairman of the State Committee and Sri Ananda Amritam of Anantha Metals were also present and spoke on the occasion.

One Day Camp at Patna

Vivekananda Kendra, Patna Branch organised one day workshop in the second phase of "विजय ही विजय युवा अभियान" - " "Vijay Hi Vijay Yuva Abhiyan". Selected students of the first phase were the participant in which competition was conducted in 7 collage of the city.


As a run up to the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Swami Vivekananda, the National hero of the Youth of India, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari has launched a massive youth contact programme. The movement has been named as ‘Vijay Hi Vijay’ – throughout the country, to take the life and message of Swami Vivekananda to the youth of India.

‘Velga Velgavey’ – A Program for Youth, for Nation building

With the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda approaching, Vivekananda Kendra has taken up the task inspiring youth for nation building work.

We believe that by strengthening the youth, we can strengthen the nation. ‘Velga Velgavey’ is a program designed for this purpose.

1. Research Centre Recognition

The Dibrugarh University has granted recognition as a Research Centre to Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture with effect from 24th September 2009.
