Two theerthams found in Rameswaram island“It is big enough to bathe temple elephants” : Vivekananda Kendra, which is working on ‘Green and Clean Rameswaram’ project, has discovered two ‘theerthams’ (venerated waterbodies) — Chinnatharavai Bramha Gundam, popularly known as ‘Bramha theertham,’ and Parasuramar theertham in Rameswaram island.

Medical Camps in Tinsukia

Medical Camp in TinsukiaVivekananda Kendra Assam Prant, branch-Tinsukia, organized one Medical Camp at Jhinga Basti of Tinsukia district of Assam on 13th September. A total 216 patients were examined in the camp and free medicines were distributed accordingly.

Asmita Conference started at Kanyakumari

160 leaders of 23 Janjatis from ​nine states ​of the country - Arunachal Pradesh​,​ Assam, Nagaland, Andhra Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Madhya​ Pradesh, Jharkhand​, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh​ ​arrived here for a 3​-​day Janajati Netr​u​t​v​a Sammelan. This conference will continue till 17 of September.

Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam's sudden demise has left us all in grief. VK-nardep also shares the anguish of the nation and vows to keep working for the vision of Dr.Kalam. One of his last wishes has been the realization of Green Rameshwaram which he himself inaugurated. 'Green Rameshwaram' project provided the rightful memorial service to Dr.Kalam by involving themselves in brining solar light based electricity to the coastal hamlet on the day of Dr.Kalam's funeral. Former and present teachers’ meet at VKV RamNagar

On the occasion of MEJSP, three vkvs’ of Barak Valley namely VKV, Ramnagar, Silchar, VKV, Borojalenga and VKV Badarpur organized a former and present teachers’ meet for the teachers’ of VKVs’ of Barak Valley on 23 august 2015 at VKV, ramnagar, Silchar.  The program started at 10am.

Teachers’ Orientation Camp at VKV Baragolai

The Teachers’ Orientation Camp was organised from 14th to 17th August 2015 at VKV (NEC) Baragolai for the teachers who have completed around 7 years in VKVs of Assam and Nagaland, and also the Principals or Vice Principals of these Vidyalayas. A total of 85 senior teachers (51 gents & 34 ladies) including the heads of the Vidyalayas attended this camp, of which the objective was “Consolidation and Strengthening” of our academic activities.

Medical Camps by VK Arun Jyoti

Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti recently organized a few medical camps in some villages of Lekang circle of Namsai district. On 27th, 28th and 29th August 2015 the camps were organized at Manpanglang, Singibeel and Kakoni respectively. A total 766 patients were examined and free medicines were distributed to the suffering patients. All Lekang Youth and Students’ Union supported the cause initiated by Vivekananda Kendra and their volunteers including president and secretary were personally present in all the camps.

Former and Present Teacher's meet at VKV Ramnagar

On the occasion of MEJSP, three vkvs’ of Barak Valley namely VKV, Ramnagar, Silchar, VKV, Borojalenga and VKV Badarpur organized a former and present teachers’ meet for the teachers’ of VKVs’ of Barak Valley on 23 august 2015 at VKV, ramnagar, Silchar.  The program started at 10am.

A total of 58 former and present teachers attended the meet, out of which 28 were sisters and 30 were brothers.

Medical Camps in Arunachal Pradesh

Vivekananda KendraVivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti recently organized a few free medical camps in Changlang and Lohit districts of Arunachal Pradesh. A total nine camps were organized in Kharsang, Miao, Bordumsa, Diyun and Mahadevpur circle.

Vivekananda Kendra is celebrating the Birth Centenary year of the founder Ma. Eknathji, who is the Spirit behind the mid-sea National Monument Vivekananda Rock Memorial. The year long program Mananeeya Eknathji Janma Shati Parva has aim to strengthen the work in terms of Qualitative & Quantitative area. Vivekananda Kendra is a thought movement as envisaged by Ma. Eknathji, having various magazine in 6 languages.
